The Book of Veyngriya
Synopsis
In a fractured medieval kingdom scarred by isolation and political decay, a young exile named Ulrich struggles to survive within the harsh wilderness beyond the realm that abandoned him. Far from the power and order of the citadel, his life changes after crossing paths with a wandering stranger who offers him shelter from the brutal landscape. As tensions rise within the kingdom itself, the divide between power and exile slowly begins to collapse. Grounded in realism and bleak medieval atmosphere, the film explores isolation, legacy and the shifting balance between authority and survival.

From TMDB usersThe Book of Veyngriya feels really different from a lot of modern fantasy shorts because it focuses way more on atmosphere and realism instead of action. The cinematography and environments are genuinely beautiful and the world feels cold, isolated and believable the entire way through. It’s slow in a good way and lets the atmosphere build naturally, feels really original in its own right, i hope to see more from this group.
