When I first watched this film, I was absolutely engrossed in all of the squirmish tension brought to life by all of the mature and dazzling stars of this moving image piece. It is very easy to hail this film as the founding relic of the Welsh New Wave movement, with clear inspirations being 'Seven Samurai' and the works of Alfred Hitchcock. Each twist of the plot immersed me further into the gripping and unique narrative. I would go as far as to say that it is practically impossible to title yourself as a cinephile if you haven't experienced this gem. 5 stars.
