Synopsis
Fifteen hundred years after the war of gods, the heaven declined. Yang Jian, the God of Erlang, made a living by working as a catcher. One day, Yang Jian was ordered to hunt down a young man, his own nephew.

From TMDB users_New Gods: Yang Jian_ feels like an alternate timeline of _Journey to the West_ along with all of the jazzy influence of _Cowboy Bebop_. The animation is slick and impressive, but the intentional crawl of the storytelling dulls the action and dims the spectacle of the visuals ever so slightly.
