A better cast, worst scripted _Bruce Almighty_. The execution is severely lacking, and as much as I adore seeing Simon Pegg and Kate Beckinsale ham up the screen, it seems obvious how much better this could (and should) have gone. What we are left with in _Absolutely Anything_ is a movie that was engaging, yet glaringly bad, the sort of thing I didn't hate watching, but will never watch again. _Final rating:★★ - Had some things that appeal to me, but a poor finished product._

The premise of this movie is almost as intriguing as the all-star cast. It's amazing what talent could be assembled for this piece, and even though some of the parts are relatively minor, the talent on display still shines through easily. The directing is very solid and the story progresses at a pace that feels appropriate. It's easy to draw parallels between this movie and the Twilight Zone episode called "Mr Dingle the Strong", and I don't think they are unfair comparisons even though this is a lot more funny than the episode ever was or intended to be. This movie is still an amazing amount of fun and I highly recommend it. It is sad to have to think about the fact that some of the talents working in this movie never got to make another one.
