Brain Denham returns from New Zealand. No one knows the injured boy is Toby until Brian sees him in casualty. The new interns party at Bunny's.

Jo-Jo Adams corners Craig Rothwell and gives him a piece of advice he should listen to if he wants to be a successful doctor. Raymond Shaw has to inform Brian of his findings with regard to Toby and Gail Henderson meets with Graham Steele for the first time and finds it not a pleasant experience.

Craig faces major surgery for the first time but not as a surgeon but as a patient. In Casualty, Gail Henderson finds out a bit of what makes Graham the way he is and about what he thinks of the new interns. Laura continues to worry.
