From TMDB users"Nora Sand The Pushover" sees everything viewed to a lesser or greater degree from an oblique angle. This tends to create a sense of tension, but the associated lack of clarity results in a story that's not that easy to follow or even all that interesting. This would appear to be a story about cycles of abuse and manipulation, primarily of women but also of men. How dysfunctional parenting can result in dysfunctional adults, with warped perspectives on people and relationships. Its main character never really comes to the fore, whilst the tale's female seducer, a charming male manipulator, is so self-contained that you never get a sense of who he actually is. The conclusion, which is wholly dissatisfying, feels forced and abrupt, leaving too many questions unaddressed. In summary, something of an exercise in obscurantism, Nora Sand The Pushover fizzles when it really needs to burn. A largely mediocre watch.
